Good news: The Slothilda plushie sample I've been working on has finally arrived! 😄😄😄
Bad news: It didn't come out as accurate as I hoped it would. 😭😭😭
While I thought I had found the perfect company to do the manufacturing, I was wrong. Even after providing loads of reference images, instructions, and worst of all, a hefty fee, I still ended up with a bizarro looking Slothilda.
Below are the reference images I provided to the manufacturer, hoping it would look something like this:
Instead, I got this:
Not sure what happened on the manufacturer’s end, but the bottom line is this...the plush prototype just looks off (for so many reasons), and I don't feel comfortable mass-producing a mediocre Slothilda plushie.
As a result, I'm making the difficult decision to cut my losses and walk away for now. I'm a stickler for quality, and the thought of shipping just an "okay" plushie to you doesn't sit well with me.

In the meantime, I'm going to stay focused on the comics, and the Slothilda plushie project will temporarily be on hold. Hopefully a proper one will come to fruition sometime in the near future (along with Peanut next time around!) because I've heard your feedback, and I am determined to deliver one that looks right.
In the end, this project was an interesting learning experience to say the least, and it was fun sharing the journey with you. Thanks for the feedback, help, and all the suggestions along the way.
